Story
Hello and thank you for taking the time the time to visit my just giving page!
I am Sam, and since birth I have had a severe nut allergy. Out of all your friends, you probably do have that one friend who is allergic to something, or many things. 'The Anaphylaxis Campaign' are a service that provide support for these people.
Allergies are not a thing that just 'go' and 'vacate' the person's body at a particular time, or when they reach a specific age. For the majority of people, they are permanent, as for many allergies there is no cure.
The aid, support and research they provide is incredibly helpful as they keep people who do suffer from severe allergies up to date with facts about products which in reality, can be life threatening. This is when allergies can become serious as 'anaphylactic attacks' can occur, which have devestating consequences as they can claim a person's life. This is the reality of it, people die from allergies...
The donations that the anaphylaxis campaign recieve will be very valuable. As little as £5 can contribute to giving 3 families potentially life saving information. With the donation money, information packs can be sent to schools and nurserys, and educational allergy workshops can also be organised and ran to help support those children, teenagers and their parents.
Running the 13.1 miles will be a great challange for me. It will be made better by running for a charity that I can relate to, and that provides such beneficial support, which in reality can save lives. This is a charity which has provided a lot for me, so this is what I'm doing in return.
I'll be uploading pictures and videos of myself training to show you how I am preparing for the run. I will be taking part in some brutal training sessions in order to achieve my desired time. I would love to complete the 13.1 mile run on May 12th 2013 in my best time possible. It will take extremely hard work and some intense training, and it will pay off.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my page. Any donation will be greatly accepted.
