Story
On 17th October, I will be taking part in the Garmin Barcelona Triathlon, which involves a 1500m sea swim, a 40km cycle and finally a 10km run.
This is not my first Olympic distance race, but it is probably my most daunting. The sea swim is extremely challenging, but hopefully all my training will pay off and I will finish with a good time.
I am doing this race in support of Heshima, a charity based in East Africa, of which my girlfriend, Shona, is a Trustee.
Heshima is a small charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Kenya and Tanzania. Heshima promotes the African arts and music, and has set up arts and activity centres in both these countries to provide a fun, creative and supportive environment for local children to use.
Your donation will make a big difference to Heshima, who are currently fundraising to build a new centre in Tanzania to support marginalised Masaai children.
