Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It was in Autumn of last year that I decided I was going to do something different in my 41st year - and hopefully raise some much needed funds for Travel Counsellors chosen charity Plan UK.  A parachute jump didn't seem much of a challenge ... whereas running half a marathon did! 

I started training back in February - there was snow on the ground and I started running for a minute, walking for a minute and so on.   It's been a challenging time training - never once consistent - a sprained ankle, a strained calf muscle, a six week chest infection ... every break in training made it feel like you were starting again. 

However, luck is on my side, as the body is willing and I'm up for the challenge. With both children and education close to my heart, I am really pleased to be supporting Plan UK.  Travel Counsellors has been working closely with Plan in order to improve the standard of education for children in poverty stricken countries, helping them to realise their full potential and build a safe, healthy environment for them and their families.  

So please, dig deep and think of me on Sun 10 October pounding the streets in aid of these children.   Thanks x
