Team Kinmonth

Hi there, we are a team of nurses from the Leicester Royal Infirmary trying to raise some money for ward equipment! The Kinmonth Unit covers Plastic Surgery, ENT, Maxi facial and General Surgical patients!

We are currently training for the Leicester Half Marathon wich is 13 miles long :( This will take place on the 10th October 2010!!!

We all love our job very much and try our best to improve patients experiences as much as possible.The ward looks after a variety of patients such as head and neck surgery following cancer, breast reconstruction ladies following breast cancer and many other big operations such as laryngectomys. These operations can be very extensive and require alot of support from staff and equipment. We currently have four side rooms for the high dependancy patients and feel that the patients would benefit from various bits of new equipment currently on the market. Simple things like High dependency trolley's would allow us to store the equipment we need in order to give the patients the best care possible!!!!Some new humidifiers would be very beneficial to our head and neck patients following surgery.

The more we raise the more we can help our patients as much as possible and try to make peoples experience in hospitals as pleasant  as it can be.
