In January 2017 my husband had an accident on his bike and as a result broke his ankle. The ambulance crew weren't able to get to him so the Longtown Mountain Rescue team were called out to get him. These people are volunteers and went out in freezing conditions without hesitation, and continue to do so to anyone needing assistance. And that is why I've chosen them as my charity of choice.

1. We are selling sunflower seeds from our giant sunflowers from last year... 12ft tall I think they reached!!! 

2. We hope to do some other bits and bobs but haven't decided on the particulars yet
