Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My dad died in Nov 08 after being diagnosed in the January with the most aggressive form of Prostate Cancer. He fought all the way hoping he could beat it but unfortunately the cancer was to advanced. At least now he is free from all the pain and the body that he could just not use. As a nurse it was extremely hard to watch my dad deteriorate as quickly as he did. I therefore wanted to run the Great North Run for the Prostate Cancer Charity. I hope that the money raised will go to, not only helping with early diagnosis of the disease, but also providing men, who may find themselves in my dads position, with advice and support to allow their last months to be as bearable as possible.
