Story

                                                                             UPDATE

Finally After almost a year the Balloon flight which my mother set out to do but unfortunately did not make it is going to take place Sunday 24 April 2011 at Dalemain nr Penrith. It will be emotional. Thanks to everyone for their support.

Chris

Just to say thanks to everyone that has donated upto now.  I have set up my own site in memory of my parents as i will be doing a charity abseil down Leasowe Lighthouse 31 July 2010.  Anymore donations would be greatful as it will be going to St. John's Hospice.

My site is Chris's Charity Page

On 18 May 2010, Mum lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She passed away peacefully and she is now up in heaven with my dad, reunited again. She will be missed lots and lots.

I would like to give a big thankyou to all the staff a St. John's Hospice in Wirral for their fantastic care and attention to my mum and myself.  They have been excellent and can't thank them enough.

I know my mum said the other day that she wished for any further donations to be given to the hospice as they do a fantastic job and rely heavily on charity funding.

I have set up a justgiving site link below if you wish to donate to this amazing charity.

P.S. We did have a date set for the charity balloon flight which was 22 May 2010 but as mum is no longer here in person we will carry on with the balloon ride in memory of her and her spirit will be there with us.

                                                                     One in Three people...

"Statistics say that 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer. In the Chee household, the statistic is 2 out of 3. Nothing can change this now but we can all help to make a difference by supporting clinical research into cancer."

My name is Sandy Chee. I live in Wallasey on the Wirral with my son Christopher who is an only child. I have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and sadly, my disease has been unresponsive to treatments. I lost my husband, Lawrence, to cancer over 3 years ago. Throughout these difficult times, I have remained positive and have been morally and practically supported by my son, family and friends.
I have had a very positive experience being looked after by the knowledgeable, dedicated and supportive staff at the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology but further funding is needed to help them do their jobs to help future generations and bring down the 1-in-3 statistic.

                                                                      Scared of heights!

I’d like to help by going for a ride in a hot air balloon - I’m very scared of heights! You can help me by sponsoring me for this flight. I am funding this ride out of my own money, so ALL donations will go to Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology.
