The 2009 Santas on the Run London event starts by the Oxo Tower on the South Bank and sees hundreds of runners dress up as the jolly red fat man to raise money for charity. With events taking place up and down the country in November and December, Santas on the Run London gives you the chance to get involved and have some festive fun.
Running for charity
Raising money for Children's Hospices UK, the Santas on the Run London event is pounding the paths of the South Bank and surrounding areas. Make a difference, get fit before the festive season and have a great day out.
Christmas fun run
The Childrens Hospices UK charity helps out various childrens hospices throughout the country to raise awareness and provide much needed funds for the children in their care. Helping out families whose children are not expected to reach adulthood, the Santas on the Run London event makes a much needed contribution to those who need extra support and care.
Santas on the Run London
With runs taking place around the country from Birmingham to Oxford for Santas on the Run, London is not the only event taking place to raise funds for this invaluable cause. Whether you want to run, walk or jog the 3km race route, you will be making a huge difference as you take to the track in your red belted costume and pointy hat.
Run with Father Christmas
No matter how old or how young you are, anyone can take part in Santas on the Run. Kicking off at 6.30pm by the Oxo Tower on the South Bank, the race organisers provide you with a Santa suit or just a hat if you prefer, and everyone who takes part in the run will be on the receiving end of a little present from Santa himself, just to say thank you.
