Story

The big day: At about 01:34 this morning I finished the MSM marathon in the arctic circle in 5:04:01. Unfortunately it rained the entire time and I'm aching all over but it was a really good experience.  No more marathon running for me though.

Thank you all for your support.  I'll update further when I'm back in the UK.

Tues 15th June: 2.5 miles in 30 mins. Not so food but I didn't really push myself. This was my last training run before the big day. I need all the luck I can get!

7.5 miles in 45 mins - you must be thinking I was roller skating. I did in fact update incorrectly. On mon I ran 7.5 miles in 1:20....that's more like it. Thurs 3rd June: 7.5 miles in 1:25. It's really warm out there and this was my first run learning to take water. Those bottles with a hole in the middle for easy gripping are surprisingly hard to drink from!!

Mon 31st May: 7.5 miles in 45 mins.

Sat 29th May: 10.3 mile run in 1:40. Got caught in the rain (but only a couple of drizzles) :( but now done for the day!! Yay!! 21 days until the big day....

Thurs 27th May: Not feeling so good today so only ran 5.5 miles (40 mins).  I'll make up for it at the weekend, though it's bank holiday so obviously it'll be raining.....hmmmm!

Mon 24th May: 7.5 miles (1:25) in the horrible heat. I could not have run a step further!  I do not like the heat and it's the reason for the slower run.  I thoroughly enjoyed the ice cold bath though :)

Sat 22nd May: Second big run, 15 miles in 3:20 (let's remember it was really really hot today!!).  Got lost around Hampstead Heath but managed to find my way home.  I was even running next to dogs!!  No bad tan lines, just evenly tanned :)  Going to the coffee shop to treat myself to a nice cold coffee and cake.

Tues 18th May: 7.5 miles in 1:20 after work.  I could have gone on for longer :)

Sat 15th May: I did my first long run, 18 miles which took me 3:40.  It was really hard and i probably ended up walking about 2 or 3 miles too.  I'm not planning on beating any record....oh wait, i might be the first person who takes the longest to finish a marathon.  I think i'm actually going to come last!!! Resulted in bad tan lines from where my sleeves ended but not dehydrated :)

Hi all

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you will know, I am crazy enough to be doing a marathon next month.  This is the first time i've done anything like this and i'm very nervous.  However, as most of you also know, i will finish it even if i have to crawl across the finishing line.

The marathon will be in Tromso, Norway on 19th June, so I have exatly a month left!

I will be putting up messages to update you with my progress until then, so make sure you keep track :)

Thanks

Sapna
