This October, along with ninety other crazy colleagues, I will be taking part in the 2010 Norwood Kenyan Bicycle Ride. We start from the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and finish in some 6 days and 500 Kilometres later.  I guess if the hills don’t get me, the Lions will and day 4 includes a 23km climb in the morning which might be the low point !!!!!!

As you know, supports thousands of children, families and adults, coping with learning disabilities and social disadvantages. The charity provides them with vital, specialised support to meet their individual needs. This gives them the opportunity to reach their potential and live life to the full.

I appreciate that you have been more than generous in supporting past cycle events that I have been involved with. I am also acutely aware that the current financial climate we are living and working in has affected us all in one way or another. We are rightly being more watchful and vigilant over personal and charitable financial commitments. However, not only will this ride be an incredibly physical challenge because of the tough on and off-road terrain, I am committed to the greater challenge of raising a minimum of £2,750.00 in donations.

, like many other worthwhile charities, is facing a “challenging” 2009 in seeking support from you and I.
