Story

Welcome to my Just Giving page!

Since the beginning of the pandemic last year, I have been running virtual sessions for all our youth which has provided essential social interaction and engagement. The world has been a very tough place this last year but running virtual sessions has meant our young people can still see their friends and interact regularly.

Because the virtual sessions have made such a difference to families lives, I am going to run a 2 day virtual marathon to raise money for Challengers! These virtual sessions have all been free to join and although we now have a roadmap out of the lockdown, we plan to continue our virtual services so no matter what is going on in the world outside, there will always be something for our families to access!

Here is some feedback from parents/carers which highlights the reasons why we are wanting to raise money for our virtual services!

 - "These zoom sessions are the highlight of his day and are a lifeline at the moment."

- "He is now a dedicated Zoom attendee, with an hour and a half of belly laughs (these rarely come out otherwise), he joins in with games (unheard of away from these sessions). He usually really struggles to interact with anyone new so it was lovely to hear him joining in and giggling away. He came off and asked when the next one is, so that's brilliant."

 - "Sophie really missed her friends and general social interaction. The Challengers Zoom sessions reminded her there was still a world outside her window and other teenagers out there missing life too.

 - "We have loved every minute, Mark has loved joining in the dance routines and looks forward to quiz day.  We both enjoy name that tune and the fun quizzes, doing the odd challenge is fun too."

 - "Your Zoom sessions have been great and such a God send!"

I will be joined by Sarah and Owen and we would be very grateful for any donations to help us hit our target of £3000!
