Story
Friday 3 December is going to be a big day! For 12 hours we will be raising the roof to raise some serious money for children who might be facing a less than happy Christmas. From 10am to 10pm various groups from the village and further afield will be getting together in church and round the village to sing Advent and Christmas carols for the Children's Society and East Anglia's Children's Hospices. Some of us will be singing all day, and others will sing for particular times, but without them 12 hours of constant singing would not be possible, so please sponsor us to keep the singing sounding out!
You can read more about what the Children's Society do here: www.childrenssociety.org.uk/all_about_us/what_we_do/What_we_do_1083.html . I am really impressed by their passion for standing up for kids and the practical difference they make to children on the streets and young refugees.
Whether you're a singer or a listener why not come along and join in? At 7.30 there'll be a concert at St Mary and St Michael Trumpington to give everyone the chance to sing along with favourite carols and to listen to some less familiar ones.
