16 years on from losing the most precious of gifts, my darling son Dane, it gets no easier. Neither does the task of thinking of how to keep his memory alive on his special dates or choosing 'gifts' for him.

Despite his disabilities, Dane enjoyed a life full of activities, surrounded by people who loved him and they were rewarded with his wonderful smile.

He will always be remembered for the star that he was, and a fitting legacy will be for his memory to inspire others to live life to the full, whilst at the same time helping to raise money for a charity close to his mum's heart who have helped her so greatly though the hideous journey of losing a child.

Hopefully you will never experience this dreadful loss, but in such tragic circumstances there are few places like Edward's Trust where you can turn to who offer such support and compassion and who help to put the pieces of life back together.
