Story
I used to think that cancer and terminal illness was something that happened to other people. That cancer was someone else’s battle. That my family and I were healthy enough, and lucky enough not to be affected.
But at the end of 2016 all that changed when my beautiful mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Her battle was short. And on 8th February, the bottom fell out of my world. I woke up to realise that no one is untouchable. No one is unaffected.
But, a year on, I am emerging from the grief and loss with a new job and a new determination to do something positive in memory of my Mum
and for others who will be facing the toughest fight they will ever face.
Along with 10 colleagues from Driver Require, I will be taking on the immense 24-hour Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Macmillan, in memory of my beautiful mum, who loved mountains, walking and a great challenge.
Please give anything you can, your donation, however small,
will make a real and positive difference to the lives of those battling cancer.
