Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our beautiful girl Gemma Edgar was sadly diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumour and has been battling this horrible incurable disease since her diagnosis in 2014.
It is with such great sadness that Gemma lost her battle to cancer on the 19th of December.
Gemma is one of the most inspirational people I’ve ever met, a true friend to me and many others. She always has such a beautiful smile on her face and has never let cancer get in the way of her life! Gemma is an amazing mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend and anyone that has been lucky enough to have ever met or get to know Gem would agree. Gem has a love for running and up until recently would run at her local parkrun every weekend with her Dad. She bravely ran the London marathon herself last year whilst being treated with chemotherapy and was able to raise an astounding amount of money for a charity close to her heart.
Please help me meet my fundraising target and support this amazing charity in the hope that one day we can find a cure and make a difference to people like Gem and her family.
Every donation, no matter how big or small will help and will be very much appreciated!
Thank you xx

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
