Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. (details from Cameron's mum Elaine)
Cameron is fighting a battle with non Hodgkin's lymphoma for a second time in 9 years. He had been in remission for 5 years. This is very unusual.
The protocol this time round is a more intense 16 week course of chemotherapy, resulting in zero immunity, mouth ulcers, stomach problems, hair loss and loss of muscles mass in legs. Once his bloods recover he then will need a total body irradiation to "strip" his cells and then receive a bone marrow transplant, hopefully from his little brother, Dominic, aged 7. He then has to endure 6 weeks of isolation to prevent infection and rejection of the donated bone marrow. This is going to be a long battle but we are all determined as a family and community to win. I am not going to let my boy go.
