Fundraising for New Hope

On Sunday 23rd May, I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for Watford New Hope Trust
This will be my first marathon and I'm really looking forward to it. All my training is done and so its time to rest before the big day!
The Watford New Hope Trust Charity works with homeless and disadvantaged people in the local area providing them with practical support such as food, shelter, clothing, health care and training as well as building relationships, caring and listening.
They also run projects to help homeless people get back on their feet; there's a furniture repair and renovation workshop, a market gardening project as well other things to help them get on with their lives. You can look at their website to see what they are doing -

At the day centre, they serve up to 70 lunches a day and up to 250 cups of tea and coffee. They also run a night shelter, which provides 12 rooms for people who have nowhere else to go to get a nights' sleep - something most of us take for granted.
Here’s how your money can really make a difference:
£50 - will provide support for a homeless person at our furniture recycling project for two weeks
£21 - will provide a one-to-one debt counselling session (people are sometimes homeless because they are in debt)
£10 - will provide food at the day centre for a day
£2 - provides three meals for a day for a resident of the community home (one of their long-term hostels)
