In October I will be joining a team of 50 students from the University of York to run the Amsterdam marathon. Together we are hoping to raise a total of over £55,000 for Worldwide Cancer Research. This charity funds research in to any type of cancer anywhere in the world, and has carried out 1695 research projects in 34 countries.

I really believe this is such a great cause - everyone is affected by cancer in some way, and over 1 in 3 people will have the illness at some point in their life. This includes my lovely Mum and grandma (Maman), and I am so happy to be able to do my bit towards beating this terrible disease.

With this in mind I will be very grateful for any donation no matter how small! Thanks in advance for helping me reach my fundraising target, I will keep you updated on the training progress.
