Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Origionally I wanted to raise £2,000 and having reached that target with others still promising support I have adjusted the target to £2,500
For those who know me, you will know I do one charitable event a year to raise money for a worthwhile cause. In the last 10 years I have raised money for Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, Deafblind Scotland, Red Nose day, Cash for Kids (North Sound radio), plus the various charitable contributions via office quiz nights.
In the past the challenges have included a solo parachute jump, the Edinburgh Marathon, walking Scottish Coast to Coast (St. Andrews to Oban 132miles), West Highland way (96 miles),,,,,
............but this year at the age of 55 I am taking on my biggest challenge: As someone who isn't a cyclist I am going to do the MoG-JOG (Mull of Galloway (most southerly point in ) to John O'Groats) UCAN Cycle challenge - 433 miles in 4 days.
4th - 8th June 2010
Mull of Galloway – Sandhead (15 miles)Day 1 – Mull of Galloway – Lanark (106 miles)
Day 2: Lanark – Pitlochry (104 miles)
Day 3 : Pitlochry - Evanton (105 miles)

UCA Stands for Urological CANcers
The four main urological cancers are kidney, prostate, bladder and testicular cancers. They mainly affect men, although women can suffer from kidney and bladder cancers. Urological cancers are more common than many people realise, and account for 1 in 3 of all cancers in men and 1 in 5 of all cancers in men and women. UCAN needs your support to achieve their aim For more information please go to: http://www.ucanhelp.org.uk/about-usDonating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please donate now and support a worthwhile cause.
