We support development initiatives to improve quality of life
Story
Hi,
I’m Shakil and I am 11 and a half years old. I was not a big fan of running until my dad got me started. This was just after he ran the marathon last year. That was when he started making me give him massages and making me do chores for him because he was too tired and lazy to do it himself. He also told me that if he could run 26 miles then I could run 10km for two good causes. This has made me think of those who are less fortunate than me.
So on the 19th July 2009 I ran 10km (6.2 miles) in a time of 66 minutes for these two charities.
The AKF – www.akf.org.uk/htmlThe Bujagali Trust - www.bujagalitrust.org/
My school - has been raising money for the Bujagali Trust. This charity is based on giving a decent education to children living in . It also gives orphanage support and nursery education. It is currently raising money to build a school in Jinja.
Please sponsor me, it is not too late
I am going to split all the money raised between the two charities.
