Story
Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may or may not know, Guide Dogs is a charity that expertly breeds and trains guide dogs, providing help to thousands of blind and partially-sighted people of all ages and from all walks of life.
When I ran Brighton Marathon, the Guide Dog charity had a table in the hotel where I had my sports massage. I got talking to one of the women there who was a Guide Dog "Aunty". She basically looks after the dogs when their owners are in hospital or on holiday etc...Animals, especially dogs, have always been a huge part of my life so I thought how better to spend my time than training for a sub 03:30:00 marathon, and raising money for a charity that does so much for blind and partially-sighted people all across the UK. These animals are amazing, they give sight to those who thought they'd never see again, and are affectionate and loving creatures who really do become part of the family.
I know I have asked alot of you to donate before, but once again, please dig deep and contribute anything you can. Every little will count towards hitting the target and making sure these dogs are supported and given the best training possible to help as many people as possible.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Wish me luck!
