Fundraising for War Child
Story
Machu Picchu - a magical, mysterious sacred city built high in the Andes in Peru by the Incas in the late fifteenth century. I have longed to visit this site and have decided to trek, not just as a tourist, but to raise money for a charity, Warchild ( http://www.warchild.org.uk - please visit the website to find out more about them ), dedicated to working "with marginalized children in Afghanistan, Iraq, Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo who would otherwise be overlooked; street children, child soldiers and children in prison."
No doubt I will struggle at times, particularly in the high altitude, but will feel encouraged by the knowledge that you are supporting me every step of the way. Please donate to this cause; I will be most grateful for any amount you are able to give. My sincere thanks to you all.
