Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

 I am spending 7 days trekking to Romania's highest peak in the Carpathian Mountains in July 2010.  This trek is classed as a committed high mountain ridge walk ie no turning back as no roads lead to the track.  Heights are verging on high altitude with less oxygen in the air.  We wil be staying in remote mountain huts for some of the trek and carrying clothing/essentials for 3 days.  There will also be scrambling involved up the steep parts.

 There is a good reason for doing this and that is to help raise money for four projects that Link Romania supports:-

1.    Kindergarten in Dallas Shanty Town – Iasi, Romania

2.    Soup Kitchen - Cosnita, Moldova

3.    House for ex-orphanage boys on the Farm of Hope – Iasi Romania

4.    Meals on Wheels for the elderly – Dancu, Moldova
