For those of you that don't know, I am the Chairman of a Charity called The Main Project(www.themainproject.co.uk), which help people with all aspects of Autism. Although we are based in the North East of England our reputation is growing fast and we are working hard to make The Main Project a national organisation helping families affected by Autsim where you live.

Those that know me, realise the though of me being able to complete any length bike ride are  very remote, let alone across this wonderful country of ours - 50 miles a day for 3 days from Whithaven in the Lake District right across to the land of the Mackems in Sunderland!

Last year my wife Vicky and I were in the fortunate position to be able to donate in excess of £11,500, this year we would like to increase on that, hence the target of £12,000.00

This may seem a lot but I have entrusted the help of my brother, some of my best friends and even some of my former University mates from all over the UK, all of which who are giving up there time not only to come up to the North East but also train and raise money for our wonderful cause! most of which who have no real connection with Autism but feel that is a worthwhile charity to test their fitness and sanity for volunteering!

We are going to take the pain, all we need you to do is please give generously as every penny counts! £1 would be great, especially if it was from everyone who uses the services the charity provides, however, if this was £2 it would double, better still £5 or £10 would accelerate our fund unbelievably.

No one more than me realises how much of a hard time everyone is having financially, but this really is a good cause and we rarely ask people for money like this as we always manage to raise funds in other ways.
