Story
This July I am running the British 10K for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the Camerons Stiff & Co team. My Grandma who sadly passed away on 10th December 2013 was diagnosed with stomach cancer in Aug 2012. She received such great support from the Macmillan nurses that I would like to give something back. From the very start of my Grandma’s illness the Macmillan nurses were there providing both emotional support to us all and fantastic nursing care to my Grandma.
98% of Macmillan’s funds are from donations so without our help they will be unable to provide the fantastic level of support and care that my Grandma received. Cancer affects 1 in 3 people so please dig deep to support this worthwhile cause and help give me the strength and encouragement to run further than I have ever done before. This is a big challenge for me as those who know me are aware that I have exceptionally bad knees and consequentially hate running.
