Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As many of you know I'm currently on my second tour of Afghanistan and am serving in Sangin, Helmand Province. The charity I am supporting is particularly close to my heart and please visit their website to see how they help ex servicemen and women who have lost limbs.

I intend on cycling from John O Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) solo(ish!) to raise some cash to support those who are unfortunate enough to loose limbs serving our country. Normal touring cyclists take 12-15 days to complete the route, I intend to do it in less than 10. I have barely sat on a bike in 6 months and my training for 8 hours+ a day in the saddle will consist of a few hour long sessions on an exercise bike and a couple of rides when I get home at the end of March. Jen hopes to ride much of the first and last day with me and I would encourage anybody who would like to join me through the challenge to do so, particulary the last day into Lands End. There will be no nice B&Bs or sports massages to get me through, just (I hope) my brother Richard following me in a support vehicle. I've put the 24th April down as a start date but this will be confirmed nearer the time. It's now confirmed that I'll start the ride on the 10th of May and hoping for some good weather!

These people really are the often forgotten heros of our forces, who have to live with the injuries they've sustained for the rest of their lives, please be generous and please fill in the gift aid bit to get that little bit more cash out of the system.
