Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having just about recovered from the to bike ride (three years ago !), I have been talked into punishing my body again.

This time, I have signed up for Societe Generale’s “9 lakes in 9 hours” challenge , which takes place from 17th to 19th September in the Lake District (let’s hope for decent weather).

This will involve a three hour strenuous mountain bike challenge up some very steep hills, four hours trekking over Helwellyn (England’s second highest mountain apparently !) and two hours canoeing on Ullswater.  Worse still, I will have to sleep in a youth hostel for two nights, which will be a new experience !

To offset the pain and inevitable long recovery period afterwards, I am raising money for SG’s 2010 charity partner : Friends of the Elderly.

Please could you therefore help me to achieve my target of raising £600 by giving generously.  After all, we will all be old one day (I know, some sooner than others).

I thank you in advance for your support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Best wishes,

Simon
