We organise disaster relief worldwide to be there for people in desperate need

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving site.

I am eager to do what I can to help the many millions of innocent people who have been affected so badly by the recent floods in Pakistan. On Sunday 10th of October I have organised a 5-a-side football tournament at PlayFootball, Luton.  The event will be managed by PlayFootball who have kindly offered a very generous deal to hire out their 5-a-side astro turf pitches for the day.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
The tournament is a 5-a-side event, but each team can have up to TWO substitutes.  It will take place on Sunday 10th October at PlayFootball, Luton.  Kick-off will be at 2.00pm but each team must be at the venue by 1.30pm at the latest.

The event will include the following:
- Welcome speech
- Adidas match balls provided
- Organised tournament format including group stages, quarter finals, semi finals and final
- Qualified referees officiating all matches
- Trophy and medal presentation

For venue details, please visit: http://www.playfootball.net/luton/

HOW TO ENTER A TEAM
Entering a team into the tournament is simple.  Firstly, each team has to donate £30 on this page.  This donation will go straight to my chosen charity - Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).  Then all you have to do is turn up on the day and pay £30 to PlayFootball for hiring the pitches.  So the total cost to enter a team is £60.  When you make your team donation on this page, please leave a message with the name of your team (or names of your team members) so I can pass these details onto PlayFootball who will then enter your team into the tournament.  Any team that has not made a donation on this page WILL NOT be allowed to enter into the tournament.

ANYBODY CAN DONATE
I know many of you who are visiting this site may not want to enter in to the tournament, HOWEVER as a result of the current desperate situation in Pakistan, I would urge you all to dig deep in to your pockets (whether you will be playing in the tournament or not), and please contribute.  Remember, the people affected by these floods URGENTLY require clean water, food, clothes and medicines, and therefore EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR PENNIES counts!!

THE CHARITY
I am aware that many people are concerned about where raised funds will go and want to ensure their donations are used appropriately to help those who need it most. With this in mind I am raising as much money as possible for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) which is a fully registered and 100% legitimate charity (Reg. Charity No. 1062638) so you can be absolutely certain that your donations will be used ONLY to help those poor, desperate people who have been so badly affected by the floods.

DONATING THROUGH JUSTGIVING
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
