So I have decided that I wanted to make a change in the world and help out those who need it most. One of the most important things we use everyday is water. We take water for granted, especially in the western world where we can just open a tap and immediately get clean water.

Water is the most basic necessity of life but an estimated 700 million people do not have access to safe, clean water. That’s one in ten people who have no choice but to drink and use contaminated water. This puts them at risk of diseases like dysentery, diarrhoea and cholera, which can be fatal. Every 90 seconds a child dies from a water related disease, making it the biggest cause of disease and death in the world. On average, women in Africa and Asia walk for 3 hours every day to fetch water, often in blistering heat.

So I am hoping to change all that (with your help of course) to build a deep water well so families can easily access clean water. I am going to be climbing Kilimanjaro which is the tallest mountain in Africa at 19'000ft above Sea Level. It will be a tough and grueling challenge but nothing compared to what families go through on a daily basis to get clean water.

The money raised will go towards the thirst relief campaign, which provides clean water to poor rural communities across the world, giving them safe water for drinking, cooking and cleaning, water for their crops and animals and the chance to break out of the poverty cycle
