Sweat bands? Check. Enthusiasm? Check. Running ability/fitness/hand-eye coordination..?? Um, well, we’re working on it...

There’s no going back now for the Smith & Smith PR team, who have signed up to compete in the Great Manchester Run to raise money for Diabetes UK North West. At Smith & Smith PR, we aim to have a healthy work-life balance, which sees us get up to all sorts of activities from lunchtime yoga sessions to days out rambling in the Peak District. Now, we’re using this mentality to motivate ourselves to get fit for the 10K on 16^th May. As a company, we’re also committed to supporting local charities, with our pro bono work with organisations across the region totalling around £46,000 a year. That’s why we jumped at the opportunity to take part in the Great Manchester Run to support Diabetes UK, which is the largest charity in Britain devoted to the treatment and care of people with the condition.

So, our training is well underway and we’ve swapped our biscuit treats in the office for healthy alternatives (Jaffa Cakes have got orange in them, right?). All we’ve got to do now is try to drum up some support from our families, friends, clients, colleagues and long lost acquaintances.
