ABOUT

Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity have published a photographic book 'Ordinary People, who do something Extraordinary'

It is a collection of photographs of people who volunteer for Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS). It showcases the regular folks from all corners of the county who give selflessly of their time, helping people in their own community to have a better life. They save lives, they provide help and assistance when most needed, and they do it because they care about others.

The book is A5 hardback and 124 pages in colour or black and white. It features photographic portraits of over 100 volunteer Community First Responder and Patient Transport Service Volunteer Drivers and includes a little information about each of these interesting people.

All of the photographs except one were taken by Rick Corbishley, who dispatches Community First Responders for YAS. He has produced this book, in cooperation with YAS Corporate Communications Team, in his spare time as a way of recognising and supporting the incredible work all these volunteers do.

JustGiving

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please note, JustGiving will request an additional donation of around 15% which goes directly to them, not to the YAS Charity. You can change the amount or pay nothing, it's optional.
