I'm taking part in the Adidas Women's 5k Challenge in Hyde Park, London on the 6th Sept 2009.

This will be my first 5k! I wanted to take part in something that will both benefit me, physically, and also benefit a charity at the same time.

All your donations will go to NDCS, working to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. I felt this was a particuarly worthy charity, as it's these young people that need all the support they can get to reach their full potential, and overcome social challenges.

Just £15.00 gives a family with a newly identified deaf baby 30 minutes of free confidential support and information in over 100 languages.

Just £30.00 will help give two schools the tools they need to ensure all their deaf pupils get the education that hearing children take for granted.

Just £100.00 will allow a deaf child to borrow and test radio aids and other equipment to assess in the comfort of their own home.
