We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

As some of you may know, Martin's mum was diagnosed with cancer in late 2009 and Carol continued to fight the disease with great strength until she passed away late Friday 19th February.

To support our great friend Martin and his family, and to remember what an amazing lady Carol was, we have decided to run the Liverpool Half Marathon for Bowel Cancer - in Spartan uniforms.

We believe it is fitting recognition that we wear the uniforms after Carol spent weeks putting them together for us last year.  We will be running with flags and buckets to collect along the route and hope that it is a nice day to help draw a large crowd like only Liverpool can!!

PLEASE give what you can and then come and support us on the day itself!!  Sunday 28th March.  Liverpool.  Be there!

"Spartans...  This is it...  Now is your time to make a difference!  Between you and victory stands 13.1 miles of blood, sweat and tears.

I remind you, as you take your first step, you will have beside you warriors of equal strength and honour, they will feel their pain at different points and in different ways - but, as a unit you will be there for each other, to pull one another along and to leave no man behind.

We do this for a greater good than ourselves, for something more noble and great than even Sparta stands for; this is for Carol!  FOR CAROL!"
