On 02.02.2022 I’ll be turning 32!

On the day itself, I will embark on a stairs challenge to raise funds for families and individuals affected by the extreme weather conditions in Lebanon.

A recent snowstorm in Lebanon has destroyed the “homes” (fragile makeshift tents) of many refugees and displaced people across the country. Beyond the terrible living conditions endured by millions, many are now scrambling to survive - burning old clothes, plastic and in some cases even sheep manure to keep warm as temperatures plummet and poverty soars.

International media has reported the death of at least three children in Syrian camps. 

Unfortunately, the extreme weather is going to continue for the foreseeable future, putting many more refugees and displaced individuals at high risk.

Donations: For every 100$ donated, I pledge to complete one round on the infamous staircase at Wadi Hanifa (217 steps). I expect a challenge. A big challenge friends. I can endure rounds and rounds on the stairs, all evening, if it means we are able to help those in dire need. 

You have 4 days to donate and spread the word, before I head to the stairs for our uphill challenge!

Selected Charity: The Smile & Olive Foundation (founded in 2012), provides relief & aid to displaced persons and refugees. Today they operate across Lebanon,Turkey & Iraq. Just in Lebanon alone, they serve an estimated 17,214 Syrian individuals, and employ more than 200 full-time staff members and volunteers. They have recently opened more community centers across a number of cities -  Burj Al Barajneh, Tripoli, Nabaa, Bekaa Valley, and Gaziantep (Turkey).

100% of your donations will be spent on:

- Rebuilding collapsed tents.

- Relocation of tents at risk of collapse.

-Providing heating equipment.

-Providing food baskets.
