Story
Calling all my beautiful and generous friends!
On 21st March 2010 I will be taking part in a West End performance of Carmen's Bizet to raise money for Streetwise Opera.
To give you an idea of the work done by the charity, Streetwise Opera helps people who have experienced homelessness move forward in their lives. This is done through a weekly music programme in 11 homeless centres around England and through the staging of professional opera productions.
This upcoming performance in March is an event which will bring together professional opera singers, homeless performers from the singing workshops and 50 members of the public who between them must raise £20,000!
It will involve taking part in 1 day of singing and acting rehearsals, and the show will be in front of a public audience directed by the world famous opera director, Keith Warner at the Fortune Theatre.
The whole point of this charity is to give people who are struggling an escape through music and raise money at the same time - please give generously, it will by much appreciated!
Thanks
Stephanie
