After watching news about the country's problems with obesity and fatty liver disease in children, there was extensive coverage of the drought in the Horn of Africa. I wanted to do something to help with this and as I am distinctly more on the fatty liver risk spectrum, thought that it seemed appropriate to try to give up something which I enjoy too much and give the proceeds to those who have no choice about going without food.

I therefore plan to go without food ( and any drinks except weak tea/coffee and water) from Friday 15th July 9pm until the following Friday 4pm. If you want to support me in this, please make your donations to my Justgiving page, or contact me and give me the money. I will be going on holiday for 3 weeks on the Saturday, so will be unable to collect money in person for 3 weeks after that!
