Earlier this year, a 9 year old playing for the football team I was coaching, was diagnosed with Leukaemia, thankfully, 4 lots of chemo later, his bone marrow biopsies are clear and he's in remission. When I saw that the Company I work for was entering a team for the GSR, and had chosen "Children with Leukaemia" as their charity, I felt I just had to put my name down.  It's been 15 years since I did any serious exercise and I can't say I've really enjoyed the training up to now, but finally after several weeks hitting the streets, I think I'll be OK for the 10 miles! To help me along, I persuaded a friend, and colleague to join me on the run, hence "Steve & Gareth's page". Now we just have to find a few sponsors to help make it all worthwhile!!!!
