I got the running bug around this time last year when I decided to run the Grand East Anglia Run 10k to raise money for Sue Ryder Care. I hadn't run since Cross Country at school in 1983, so it was a bit of a challenge just to get to the start!!

I ended up competing in the three races last year -GEAR 10k which i completed in 55mins, The Marham 10 mile in July (1hour 30mins) and finally The Wissey Half Marathon in September (2 hours and 3 mins). For those of you that know me you will be well aware of the mental and physical effects that race had on me and if you view the pictures above you will be able to see for yourself!! For those of you that don't lets just say I couldn't face running again until three weeks ago!! Not even for the bus!

 

Thanks to people like you I managed to raise £300 for Sue Ryder last year and I plan to repeat the feat again this year.
