MPN Voice (Guy's and St Thomas' Charity) Cumberwell Park

Hi, my name is Steve Wilson, I am the 2021/22 Seniors
Captain at Cumberwell Park Golf Club near Bradford on Avon. 

Part of my role for the year is fundraising for my chosen charity which is MPN Voice.

Although I have donated money to various worthwhile charities through the years, I have never actually fundraised for any charities before.

My initial target for my just giving page is £5,000 but my main focus as well as various other fundraising ideas throughout the year will be my Captain's Charity Golf Day 23^rd Aug 2022

My wife Annette was diagnosed with Polycythaemia Vera some
15 years ago after she picked up some Mosquito bites on a holiday in Dubai, these subsequently failed to heal & then ulcerated, this led to many months of testing & trips to Bath RUH to eventually find the cause, so it is something that I am keen to support, this is a new opportunity for me to make a difference to other people’s lives, so please give generously.

MPNs (myeloproliferative neoplasms) are diseases that affect
how blood cells are produced in our bodies, there are three, PV, ET & MF.

All funds raised will go towards supporting the MPN Voice
community & funding research to hopefully find a cure.

MPN Voice is a registered charity which relies on donations
to support forums, research & patient support activities.
