Story
Hi there, I'm back and nothing fell off either my bike or myself although I am glad I bought those cycling shorts. Also, it was a bit embarrassing seeing my 30 years' old boneshaker alongside some very nice cycles. Some of my fellow cyclists had never see gear levers on the frame before.
We did 311 miles in total, day 3 having the most at 90 miles after which we had to pitch our tents in the rain. The sun came out for our arrival at the Eiffel Tower and to be honest I was just getting into the swing of things. The support team that helped us was fantastic, keeping both our bodies and our bikes going.
Hopefully I'll have some photos soon and a map of the route in case anyone is either interested or fancies something similar, but be warned - the South Downs have plenty of Ups and northern France is far from pan flat.
Thanks again for your support,
Steve
