Story
To celebrate three decades of business, we have decided to take on three huge challenges to raise money for North West Cancer Research.
Cancer affects everyone's lives in some shape or form including members of our own staff. This is why we have chosen to support such a fantastic charity like NWCR. We hope that all of our donations will help fund research that will help tackle and cure this horrible disease sooner!
In order to raise as much money as possible, we knew we had to do something big and something that was going to challenge the team on a whole new level.
The first challenge that the team is going to undertake is the well-known Three Peaks Challenge in June; hiking up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden in less than 24 hours!
The second challenge is a spin-athon which will take place here in our offices in Speke. The challenge we have set ourselves is to spin 300 miles in less than 12 hours. There will be two spinning bikes and each member of the staff will get involved to help us achieve this target!
The third and final challenge will see six members of staff including the boss himself, Steve Hunt, throwing themselves out of a plane at 11,000ft! The Sky Dive will take place in August with the Black Knights in Lancaster.
NWCR has funded life-saving research over the past 70 years. This includes the UK's first Endocrine and Chromosome Research Unit which as a result has developed a world-leading test to diagnose cancer from blood samples. It has funded the first ever clinical trial to look at the effective treatment of bowel cancer and helped to purchase state of the art equipment for local universities to carry out fundamental cancer research.
We would REALLY appreciate any donation you can give to support this fantastic charity. Research is critical in the fight against cancer and we want to raise as much as we can to help fund research in the North West Region.
Thank you for your support!
Please note that a small part of your donation may be used towards some of the costs of the challenges.
