Stewy, born in the UK, now a Canadian citizen living in Ontario, Canada, has decided to take on a solo 10,000+ mile motorcycle challenge coast to coast across the USA & Canada, lasting about 6 weeks during a break from oral chemotherapy. Stewy will be riding a 19 year old British made Triumph Thunderbird 900cc for the challenge and wants to raise awareness and donations for kidney Cancer.

Stewy was diagnosed in 2013 with stage 4 kidney cancer and was given a 2 year life expectancy, 6 years later on oral treatment (Sunitib/Sutent) and has had every side affect you can think of some you can not even put into words. As Stewy said ‘You have to try everything in life, hey!’ and ‘hopes that he can empower people to seek a personalised treatment plan and not to except just one specialists opinion and just be part of the current treatment process’.

Stewy’s feeling on life is ‘Everyday is a good day just different, with out rain there wouldn’t be any rainbows’

One last thing Stewy said is: ‘Treat me as a human and not a disease, be ready for people to just disappear from your life JUST due to you having Cancer.’
