Story
We completed The Loch Ness Marathon on the 3rd of October in glorious sunshine and very little rain as opposed to the rest of the UK! Our training paid off and we got to 18 miles in a pace to finish at about 5 hours. Unfortunately half a mile later we hit the first of the two 'hills', more like mountains and several 'walls' magically appeared on route slamming in to us!!!! We ploughed on and completed the run in 6 hours.
The bodies are aching especially the feet and we are chronically tired but it has been worth it. Especially as we managed to get our photo with Nessie....
Hopefully the money we have raised for the Bradford Burns Unit will make a difference and thank you so much to every one that supported us on our marathon effort.
The Bradford Burns Unit develops ground breaking technology in the treatment of burns and plastic surgery and needs funds to continue this work. We chose to raise money on behalf of The Bradford Burns Unit in recognition of their work after the Bradford City fire in 1985 and in memory of all those people who were heroes that day by their actions helping others
