Hard to believe, but it is almost a year since my last charity fund raising event. So, time to pack my bags and get involved again. This year the cause is no different and the need is even greater, as I will be taking part in ‘Muslim Aid’s 2010 Ben Nevis Challenge’, to raise funds for Education Projects in .

Education is a vital component to helping people work their way out of poverty. Working with Muslim Aid education projects in you will be providing education and empowering people to make a brighter future for themselves and their families. You will be helping to alleviate poverty through education.

Muslim Aid is an UK-based international relief and development agency, established in 1985 by 23 leading British Muslim organisations, in response to the war in and the Ethiopian famine. Initially aimed to provide emergency relief, Muslim Aid advanced its approach in the early 90s. It has since been working to provide sustainable development programmes which tackle the root causes of poverty.
