Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Grace will be dressing up as a superhero with her friends on Friday 10th May as part of Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids campaign to raise money for local children in need of an extra bit of help.
Grace was lucky enjoying to receive a grant from Cash for Kids this year to purchase sensory equipment and a play house and she would like to be able to give something back to say thank you.
Grace is an amazing 9 year old who attends Blue Coat C of E Junior School in Newton Hall, Durham. Grace is a happy, smiley and very friendly girl but she struggles with some day to day tasks and can become overwhelmed and anxious. Grace is awaiting an assessment from the local CAMHS team to determine if she will receive a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Grace already has a diagnosis of overall development delay and sensory difficulties.
Cash for Kids have made a massive difference to our family by choosing Grace for a grant. It has allowed us to get sensory equipment for her to use to help regulate her emotions as well as a safe space for her to retreat to when she is feeling overwhelmed and a place that we know that she is safe in and we know where she is.
