Story

Thank you for supporting the Chilterns MS Centre. We help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) by offering a number of life changing and supportive therapies and treatments that are effective for the patient. We treat 330 patients each week and no one is ever turned away.

20 years ago this week I suddenly became very unwell and was diagnosed with MS. It was a long road to recovery and I missed a whole term at the school I worked at. I had fantastic support along the road to recovery from family, friends and work colleagues. It was a shocking time and I was given a fairly poor prognosis by an MS Consultant at the outset. I realise how very fortunate I am to have remained fit and well throughout those 20 years.

For the last 18 months I have been volunteering at the Chilterns MS Centre and I have realised what a lifeline the Centre is for the people that use its services. Sadly they have been badly affected by the pandemic and are in great need of financial support at the moment. I have committed to raising £1000 which means selling 50 bird boxes which my lovely husband is busy making. I would appreciate you buying a bird box for £20 or if you would prefer not to buy a box, giving a donation to the appeal.

Thank you, Sue Kirtley
