Story
If you are reading this then you know that this year I am entering into the biggest physical and mental challenge of my life and I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to find out a bit more!
I am taking part in the Virgin London Triathlon taking place at the ExCel Centre, London on the 27 July 2013 to raise money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my beautiful sister Mary Elizabeth Anderson who would have been 27 on the 26 April this year!
Mary was a bright, loving, determined little girl who never gave up on anything she did. In her 10 short years, she touched the lives of so many with her lovely smile that could melt hearts. Sadly, Mary suffered from a heart and lung condition which is why I have chosen the British Heart Foundation. As a charity they rely on donations to continue their vital work into pioneering research, vital prevention activity and ensuring quality care and support for everyone living with heart disease including Mary.
Heart disease can affect all of us, we have only one heart. This includes angina, heart failure, heart rhythms, cardiac arrest, diabetes, heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke and high cholesterol to name a few.
The Virgin London Triathlon is an endurance event with swimming (750m), cycling (20km) and running (5km). I have never competed in anything like this before so I know it is going to be tough. To get myself ready, I have to train 5 days a week which is demanding for anybody but I’m squeezing this in with running my own business and looking after my 4 year old twins!
If you would like to help me raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity then please donate through JustGiving. It is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the British Heart Foundation and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for my chosen charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank You
Sylvia xx
