Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having a baby is a life changing experience for all, however not all new parents are lucky enough to take their new baby home straight away and sadly some don’t survive.  Some babies are born either too sick or too soon and are in need of some extra special care in the neonatal unit, no matter the outcome at this time and beyond, there are often many challenges the families and babies face.

Since 1984 Friends of the Neonatal Unit have helped hundreds of families through these tough times. Many will only spend a few days in the unit, while others need to stay longer to receive specialist care. As this can be a challenging time emotionally, physically and financially for any family, the charity tries to support when they can.

On 24th November 2019, former neonatal babies will take to the stage on the “Little Miracles” Fashion Show catwalk to raise awareness and funds for the Unit.   I am organising this event in honour of my twins 21st birthday and as a thank you to the unit for giving them their chance of life when they were born tiny and 3 months too soon.   Thank you can never be enough so we want to celebrate with others in giving as much back in the run up to the event to help as many babies and their families as possible, no matter how long or short their stay in the unit may be.

Thank you.
