As many of you will appreciate the chances of a fat 30something running 10 miles without suffering some kind of medical emergency are slim.  However if by some miracle I do complete the course without suffering a seizure then I would appreciate all the support that my friends and family can give me (alternatively feel free to see this as an opportunity to witness me suffering significant physical pain for no financial reward).
