Story

The stupid idea.. Let's ride our bikes across 3 countries for charity, Lands end to John O'Groats? What about doing the NC500? Let's do that too, so how long? Bank holiday weekend? So 3 days? Yes!!

Neil Howell (biketagger), Nick Wood (Nick the fish), Lewis Morgan (superduck chronicles) and Shane Cole (Hdesigns vehicle solutions) are all keen motorcycle riders and supporters of our forces. They will load up and set off from Lands end on the 3rd of June and ride 1840 miles in three days. This journey will see them complete Lands end to John o' groats, the North coast 500 and arrive back in Wales on the 5th. The journey will not use any motorways, will take them through 3 countries and a number of national parks and heritage sites. It will be a test of will power and stamina as any rider will know.

Why Hounds for heroes?

As dog lovers and both Ex service and supporters of our service men and women the team felt this charity provides so much to those in need. It's not just an assistance dog they provide, they bring companionship, friendship and a support network to so many of our troubled service personnel, whether that's through physical or mental needs. Where other charities throw money at the issue this charity deals with it face on and give these people hope and assistance. Having witnessed the joy and freedom these dogs can provide to people who otherwise would struggle in everyday life, it was the perfect choice.

Hounds for Heroes provides specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of the UK Armed Forces and UK Civilian Emergency Services.
